This policy explains what information Attorney Boyd Law Office, Ltd. ("our office," "we") collects through attorneyboyd.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Information you share with us as a client is also protected by the confidentiality rules that govern Ohio attorneys.

Information you give us

• Consultation request form: your first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), the area of law, and any description you choose to include.
• Free guide form: your email address, and on the guide page, your first and last name.
• Calls, emails, and letters you send to our office directly.

Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive details through this website. Contacting us through the site does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Information collected automatically

• Google Analytics uses cookies to record which pages are visited, for how long, the type of device and browser, the referring website, and approximate location (city level). We use it only to understand how the site is used.
• Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam. It collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis. The Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
• Client reviews widget. The footer shows our Google reviews through a third-party widget that loads from its provider's servers.
• Google Maps and Google Fonts. The map on our Office page is embedded from Google Maps, and the site's typefaces load from Google's servers.
• Server logs. Our web host records standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation, including checking for conflicts of interest.
• To send the guide you requested. We email it once. You are not added to a mailing list.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To protect the site and its forms from spam and abuse.

How it is shared

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Form submissions are delivered by email to our office staff. The service providers that help run this site (our web host, Google, the reviews widget provider, and Helcim for payments) handle information on our behalf or under their own privacy policies. We may disclose information when required by law or court order.

Online payments

The Make a Payment button takes you to Helcim's secure checkout. Your card details go directly to Helcim. This website never receives or stores card numbers. Helcim's own privacy policy governs that transaction.

Email is not a secure channel

Ordinary email and web forms can be intercepted or misdirected. Until we have spoken with you, please keep what you send us general.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and guide-request messages as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain our records, and meet our professional obligations.

Your choices

• You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
• You can ask what information we hold from your website submissions, or ask us to correct or delete it, by calling or writing to our office. Some records may need to be kept for legal or ethical reasons.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information through it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
